Founder & Principal
Dr. Darren Carter took the road less travelled to search engine marketing expert. After medical school at the University of Chicago and an internship at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, he ran his own software development and ecommerce company. There he learned SEM in the trenches for 10 years. He fondly remembers the days when search clicks were a penny on Overture.
He took advantage of Google opening its NYC headquarters and became a Google Partner to access the training and resources the company provided. After completing the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, Dr. Carter sold his prior company and started NYC SEM in 2013.
